Botox Injections

 

Muscle-relaxing injections such as Botox is an effective treatment for reducing facial wrinkles and produce a smoother, more youthful complexion. They are frequently used on the forehead, vertical frown lines between the eyes and crows feet around the eyes.

It may also be used in the neck to treat longitudinal platysma bands and to reduce sweating in the armpit.

Botulinum toxin reduces the action of the underlying facial muscles, smoothing the overlying skin. The effect wears off after a number of months and the treatment needs to be repeated initially after 2-4 months. With regular use the effects can last up to 6 months. If  Botox used repeatedly at Hush Aesthetic Clinic this can have a preventative effect reducing the appearance of facial lines in the longer term.

Certain patients may be more effectively treated by the use of surgical cosmetic procedures such as a brow or facelift. This will be discussed with the patient where appropriate.
