Microneedling
A dermaroller is a device that contains a cylindrical roller with over 190 small thin needles approximately 1.5mm in length. When rolled over the skin these penetrate the top layer which triggers an exfoliation process of the skin cells and also stimulates the production of collagen.
This is extremely useful for conditions such as scars, stretch marks, cellutlite and general skin rejuvenation. It is a natural method with no medications and has very little downtime.
Will it be painful to have the procedure?
Here at Hush Aesthetic Clinic we ensure all our patients undergo a smooth treatment. We use a topical anaesthetic cream before starting the procedure to make it as pain-free as possible.
The procedure also doesn’t damage the skin itself or leave any permanent marks.
What are the side effects of Dermaroller?
Side effects are rare however as Our Doctors specialist in Microneedling will explain that most patients experience some redness and swelling which tends to subside over 24hrs allowing you to get back to work and daily activities.
Some precautions after treatment such as wearing SPF50 sunblock are usually recommended by your doctor.
